After not telling friends and family about safely returning home over the weekend, the family of a missing Massachusetts woman fears she could have been abducted, MassLive reports.
Mary Anderson, age 23, of Harvard, was last seen in Hudson, N.H. around 10:30 p.m. on Saturday, July 16, Harvard Police said on Facebook.
She was also last seen driving a Navy Blue, 2017 Toyota Tacoma, bearing Mass. plates PC 8DXW20, police said.
Anderson's family reported her missing the next day after she did not tell anyone that she safely made it home from visiting friends, MassLive reports. Family friend Alicia Giannino said this was “very uncharacteristic” of Anderson, the outlet reports.
Concerns grew after the family unsuccessfully tried reaching Anderson several times, according to the outlet.
Mary's mother Sheila then went to her daughter's house and found some of her personal belongings behind a tree. A Subaru was also found nearby, the outlet reports.
“I don’t want to think the worst, I just want her home,” Sheila told the outlet.
Now authorities are asking anyone with information to contact the Harvard Police Department at 978-456-1212.
